Custom Breeding

When requesting a custom foal, you are attempting a sort of horse alchemy where you are going to get something special and unique. When you order a "custom" foal, you will choose a Sire (the father) and a Dam (the mother) and the rest is up to fate. The color, gender, and markings of your foal will all be selected randomly (the genes of the chosen parents will be taken into consideration). In a sense, you are ordering your own foal without knowing what he or she will look like (much like purchasing an unborn foal in the real racing world).

In order to get your own unique foal, you must first browse though the list of Sires and Dams and make a choice as to who will be your horse's parents. If you are not picky about color then choose whoever you like. If you are a bit picky about color, know that Bays and black base coats will always overpower chestnuts and any coats with a cream gene (palominos for example) will create other creamy colors like buckskin, cremello (looks almost white), pale palomino, and regular palomino (the chestnut and cream pairings create the palomino looks and the darker pairings create smoky blacks and grays). Two cream genes will be more likely to create a cremello. Again, this is up to chance so you may not end up with the exact color you are expecting. There will be foals for sale that are already "born" and ready to ship at times so you can also buy them.

Once you have made a decision on the lineage, go to our Etsy page (where all the sales are handled whether they are custom or ready to ship foals) and find the custom foal listing (there may be a couple). Purchase the listing (along with any other items you wish to buy) and select your chosen Sire and Dam in the field provided during check out.
